Call for applications for appointment to the post of Executive Director of Health Insurance Board. The position of Executive Director of the Health Insurance Board has to be selected through open competition and appointed in accordance with Section 22 of the Act, a notification regarding the application challenge has been published in accordance with the meeting and selection procedures of the Recommendation Committee constituted to recommend the Executive Director of the Health Insurance Board, Section 5 of 2081, subsection (1).

Documents to be submitted along with the application:
(a) self-attested copy of Nepali citizenship certificate,
(b) self-attested documents related to educational qualifications,
(c) institutionally certified documents clearly revealing the experience of working in the relevant field for more than one year,
(d) candidates should submit self-declared documents on the following matters: (a) not having been convicted of an offense under section 18 (c) of the Act, (a) a member of a political party at the time of appointment If not, (e) there is no conflict of interest with the board,
(e) a four-year professional action plan with a concept paper stating the tasks and roles of the executive director.
(f) In the case of applicants serving in government agencies or institutions, pre-approval granted by the serving agency.

Health Insurance Board (HIB) is a social protection program of the Government of Nepal that aims to enable its citizens to access quality health care services without placing a financial burden on them. The households, communities and government are directly involved in this program. Health Insurance program helps prevent people from falling into poverty due to health care costs i.e. catastrophic expenditure due to accidents or disease by combining prepayment and risk pooling with mutual support. This program also advocates towards quality health services. This program attempts to address barriers in health service utilization and ensure equity and access of poor and disadvantaged groups as a means to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
