The Embassy of Japan in Nepal invites applications for an Information and Public Relation staff who meets the requirements stated below:
About the Role: Information and Public Relations staff
This strategic role blends public relations duties—such as media outreach, preparing newsletters, and organizing embassy events—with core responsibilities, including visa and passport processing and providing assistance to Japanese nationals. The job serves as a vital link between the Embassy and Nepali media, public, and academic institutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in any field from a university or from any other forms of publicly recognized educational institutions.
Experience:
(1) More than 3 year’s work experience.
(2) Working experience in a multicultural environment.
Language Proficiency:
(1) Exceptional command of both spoken and written English and Nepali. Speech-writing skill is appreciated.
(2) Proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese (level N2 of Japanese Language Proficiency Test or equivalent skills) is a strong asset, but not required.
Media and Communication:
(1) Ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets and secure media coverage for events.
(2) Experience in managing social media platforms and official websites, including content creation and regular updates.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Professional Attributes:
(1) A diligent work ethic, capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks.
(2) Highly organized and responsible, with a proven reliability and trainability track record.
PREFERRED
- Japanese cultural immersion experience
- Video editing skills
- Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva or other creative platforms familiarity
