Ranjit Kumar Pal of Golbazar Municipality-10 of Siraha has won the lottery of 23 million dirhams in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Pal, working in Qatar, has won the lottery worth more than 822.7 million rupees. He had won the lottery online called ‘Big Ticket’.
He said, “When the winner of the lottery was announced, I was watching live in the office. After the client came, I started working. After finishing the work, I watched the video again and found out that I won the prize of 23 million dirhams.
Pal, who comes from a middle-class family, said that he was happy to win this award and said that he will continue the work he is doing now. He said, “It has been seven years since I came to Qatar. Previously I was in charge of representative of Himal Remit. For some time now I have been working in Eastern Money Exchange Sanaiya. There are no plans to quit.”
Big Ticket Lottery UAE Winner Nepalis Reward after long effort
Winner Pal has 20 friends in his group. Four of them are Nepalese and others are foreigners. They had been filling the lottery for a year. Pal said that this time he was lucky to get his name.
According to Umakant Pandey, a journalist working in the UAE, it costs 500 dirhams, which is about 18,000 rupees, to buy a ticket for the lottery opened by Big Ticket at the Abu Dhabi Airport Duty Free.
He said, “Everyone’s access is not enough. Palji along with 20 friends had been filling the lottery. Even though some people lose money, fortunately for him, he won the prize.”
“We share the money”
Pal, the winner of the lottery, said that the winning amount will be shared equally among all. He said that all friends belong to normal families. He said, “I am a man of the earth. My name was drawn in the lottery. I have told all my friends who bought tickets. We are all happy.” He said that the won money will be sent to Nepal according to the law. He said, “I got a call from Big Ticket. I have submitted all the documents. We will distribute the money after receiving it.”
