This exam is a test to determine the specific knowledge, skills and Japanese language ability required to enter Japan on a “Specified Skills” residence permit (visa) to perform nursing care work in nursing care facilities in Japan.

Age Limit:
Candidates age to join this exam should be 17 years or above.
If an Indonesian citizen, must be 18 years or older on the day of the exam.
Civil Prohibition:
Those with Japanese citizenship are not allowed to participate in this exam.

Conditions for taking the exam in Japan:
- Candidates who have residency (visa) can take the exam.
- Individuals residing in Japan on a short-term residence permit (visa) are also eligible to take the test (those who have not resided in Japan for a medium or long term in the past are also eligible to take the exam).
- The rule that persons who do not have residency (visa) (persons residing illegally etc.) will not be allowed to take the exam.
But even if you pass the test, it (certificate after passing the test) does not guarantee that you will be granted residency (visa) of “specified skills”. Even if a person who passes the examination applies for the issuance of a certificate of residence or an application for a permit to change the residence, it does not necessarily mean that the person will be issued a certificate of residence or be granted a permit to change the residence. Please remember this.
