The announcement was made during an event in Kathmandu, where five prominent business figures were revealed as the show’s judges (Sharks): Hemraj Dhakal, Anand Bagariya, Ritu Singh Vaidya, Saurabh Jyoti, and Cabinet Shrestha.
Shark Tank Nepal- Shark tank is for the businesses that are already generating revenue and seeking investment to scale up their business. The entrepreneurs need to present their data related to their business seeking investment in return for a certain percentage of the business’s equity or debt.
Global Success Meets Local Innovation
The franchise, which has already gained immense popularity in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment in Nepal. Himalaya TV acquired the license for this adaptation from the original British TV show, with Sony Pictures Television holding the rights to the format.
The Nepali version will be directed by Simos Sunuwar and is expected to begin filming at the Everest Hotel in February. The show’s format will feature 100 entrepreneurs across 20 episodes, with five entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas in each episode.
