Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) was established by the Government of Nepal on June 7, 1993 as an apex regulator of Securities Markets. It has been regulating the market under the Securities Act, 2006. The Governing Board of SEBON is composed of seven members including one full time chairman appointed by the Government for tenure of four years.
According to the agreement received from the Public Service Commission, the following posts of this board have to be filled permanently through an open and inclusive competitive examination, so applications are invited from Nepali citizens who have qualified according to the Nepal Securities Board Staff Service Conditions Regulations, 2068 (with amendments).

:- In case of Officer 3rd Level category posts, completed 21 years of age till 27/05/2081 and not exceeding 35 years but in case of female candidates not exceeding 40 years.
: -In case of Assistant First and Second Class posts, completed 18 years of age up to 21/05/2081 and not exceeding 35 years of age but in case of female candidates not exceeding 40 years of age.
