SIP School Improvement Plan Model Guide Book (Bidyalaya Sudhar Yojana) by Government of Nepal ( Education Dept).The School Improvement Plan (SIP) School Sudhar Yojana is an annual submission made by government schools to their Local Level & Education Office or Unit.

To give a general Introduction of government policy and planning to the SIP stakeholders, head teachers and the School Management Committee (SMC). To un- derstand the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders, Head Teachers, SMC members in preparation of the SIP and process of developing SIP.

The submission is required to help schools define their needs so that the government can provide them with a corresponding budget to help improve the quality of education at the schools based on those defined needs. The objective is to establish the long-term and regular practice of the all-round development of the schools by promoting the participation, dynamic involvement, and ownership of local parents/guardians, social workers, and students including all the stakeholder-groups (SIP Formulation Guidebook, MOE).
The ultimate objective of school improvement planning is to improve the level of student achievement (SIP, a Handbook for Principals, Teachers and School Councils).

In contest of Nepal we found that there was a need for the Head Teachers, and the School Management Committee (SMC) members to know the process through which schools set goals for improvement and make decisions about how and when these goals will be achieved.
