For Nepalese Students/ Citizens, HongKong Opens Scholarship Application for various university courses/ studies. According to a letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, information has been received from UGC Hong Kong regarding the invitation of international students to apply for scholarships under the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.
As per the decision of the Ministry of Education, this information has been published along with the scanned letter of the Scheme received for the information of those who want to apply for the scholarship.
Since all the work related to the scholarship is done by the concerned institution, it is clarified that the information has been published only for information from this branch.

We are delighted to inform you that the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is launching the Twelfth Round of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (the “Scheme”). The Scheme aims to attract top international students to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong’s world-class research universities. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of TIKS26,600 (approx. US$3,400) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$13,300 (approx. US$1,700) per year for a period of three years.
300 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2021/22 academic year. The deadline for initial application is 1 December 2020.
