The Bharatpur Metropolitan City Office in Chitwan, Bagmati Province, Nepal has announced several free skill development training programs for local residents. These initiatives aim to provide valuable vocational skills to youth aged 18-40 years, with special focus on families of migrant workers and those planning to work abroad.
Free Skill Development Training Programs Available
The municipality has published three separate notices detailing different training opportunities:
Technical Repair Training
- Mobile Phone Repair (Level 1): 20 seats, 225 hours of training
- Computer Repair (Level 1): 20 seats, 390 hours of training

Hospitality Training
- Cook/Kitchen Helper: 40 seats, specifically for families of migrant workers or youth planning to work abroad
- Waiter: 40 seats, targeted toward youth interested in foreign employment opportunities

Garment & Beautician Training
- Garment Machine Operator: 40 seats, 165 hours, age requirement 18-35 years
- Junior Beautician: 40 seats, 180 hours, age requirement 18-45 years

Application Requirements
Interested applicants must submit:
- Copy of Nepali citizenship
- Passport-sized photos (2 copies)
- Application stating their preferred training area
- For some programs, documentation showing connection to foreign employment (either family members working abroad or personal plans to work abroad)
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted to the Bharatpur Metropolitan City office within 7 days of the publication of these notices. The initiative is financially supported by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.
