This time, when the results are published, the issue of which guidelines to use regarding letter marking has not been decided yet. Last year, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology revised the guidelines on alphabetization and made arrangements to bring a minimum of 35 percent for theoretical and a minimum of 40 percent for practical.

The guidelines closed the way for admission in class 11 to those who scored less than 35 as ‘non-graded’, while the old guidelines opened the way for admission to class 11 by treating those who scored less than 20 marks as ‘E’.

Last year, when the results were published according to the revised guidelines, the board announced the results according to the old guidelines after seeing that many students were ungraded. Chairman of the Board Dr. Mahashram Sharma said that this time too, the board will decide whether to publish the results according to the old or revised guidelines.
