(2) Educational Qualification :-
(a) For the post of Research Officer:
At least a bachelor’s degree from an approved university or a degree equivalent to 100 in the case of having obtained an educational qualification through the grading system, GPA 2 or above must have been obtained. If you have obtained the same educational qualification from a foreign educational institution, T.V.V. A certificate determined as equivalent must also be submitted.
(b) For the post of Research Assistant:
In case of having obtained academic qualification through the grading system of at least Proficiency Certificate level or equivalent degree from an approved university, GPA 2 or above grade points should be obtained. If you have obtained the same educational qualification from a foreign educational institution, T.V.V. A certificate determined as equivalent must also be submitted.
(3) Age :-
(a) Research Officer: On 1st Baisakh of the year to be selected, in the case of men, they have completed 21 years and not exceeded 25 years (with dates of birth from 2055.01.01 to 2059.01.01) and in the case of women, they have completed 21 years and not exceeded 30 years ( Not exceeding 35 years in case of employees of National Research Department with date of birth from 2050.01.01 to 2059.01.01.
(b) For the post of Research Assistant:- Completed 18 years in case of male and not exceeding 25 years of age on 1st Baisakh of the year of selection (with date of birth from 2055.01.01 to 2062.01.01 and completed 18 years and 30 years in case of female) Date of birth not exceeding 2050.01.01 to 2062.01.01). (6) Documents to be attached compulsorily while filling the online application:- (Each file should be no more than 300 KB)
(Recently taken passport size photograph.
(b) Scan copy or photograph of Nepali citizenship certificate.
(c) Scan copy or photograph of candidate’s signature.
(d) Passed Marksheet and Characteristic with prescribed educational qualification or equivalent as per the post PDF file/scanned copy or photograph of the certificate.
The selection committee of Investigation Officer and Investigation Assistant held on 2050.03.01 for filling up the posts of Investigation Officer (Gazetted Third Grade) and Investigation Assistant (Gazetted Second Grade) vacant in this department and its subordinate offices through open competitive examination in accordance with inclusive principle.
12) Other details :-
(a) Candidates who have filled the application form without submitting it will not be allowed to participate in the examination.
(b) Admit card and citizenship when the candidates appear for each stage of examination Must be present with a copy.
(c) The results will be published after the completion of each round of examination and only the successful candidates will be admitted to the next examination.
(d) Candidates successful in written examination from Armed Police Force, Nepal Hospital
A detailed health examination will be conducted according to the standards of the said hospital.
(e) Candidates who pass the medical examination are admitted to the other stages of the examination only will be done
(f) When participating in the final interview test, the candidates must bring complete citizenship, educational qualification certificate, inclusive group opening document and certified copies of the same. A person who is a member of the organization will not be allowed to participate in the examination. (h) Any government employee who has qualified in the open competitive examination can be a candidate for appointment to the post of Research Officer and Research Assistant. (i) Candidates who have passed all the stages will be recommended by the selection committee for filling the post based on the general principles to be adopted in the appointment and promotion of the service of the National Research Department, 2066 and the Nepal Special Service Regulations, 2044 (with amendments) in consultation with the Public Service Commission.
e) Candidates applying for tribal tribes, Madhesi, Dalits and backward areas within the inclusive group for a period of 3 months must submit a PDF file scan copy or photo of the certificate certified by the official body.

(11) Examination Center Applicants for the post of Research Officer can have an examination center at the Public Service Commission’s Kathmandu Examination Center and applicants for the post of Research Assistant can have an examination center at the offices of the Public Service Commission of their choice (Dhankuta, Jaleshwar, Hetouda, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Birendranagar and Dhangadhi).
Examination centers will be established at designated locations and the written examination will be conducted.
