Ilam Election Counting Update 2081. View Update Voting Counting number update of Ilam 2. Ilam 2 & Bajhang Election Counting of votes has started in Ilam-2 under the House of Representatives by-election. Counting of votes was started at Gautam Buddha Conference Center (City Hall) located in Ilam Municipality-7 after an all-party meeting. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer has informed that the counting of votes has started at two places in the city hall. Counting has been started from Phakphokthum Rural Municipality.
58 percent votes were cast in that area in the polling on Saturday. Suhang Nemwang from CPN (UML), Dambar Bahadur Khadka from Nepali Congress, Milan Limbu from Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), Dakendrasingh Limbu Thegim from Swatantra and others are candidates in that area.

CPN UML’s Suhang Nemwang won in Ilam 2
Suhang Nemwang of CPN-UML has won the by-election for the member of the House of Representatives in Ilam Region No. 2. Suhang won by defeating the closest rival Nepali Congress candidate Dumbar Khadka by a margin of 5,830 votes.
Suhang’s father Subas Nemwang won from Ilam 2 in the previous election. But after his death last year in August, the by-election was held on 15th of Baisakh in the vacant place. CPN-UML fielded Subas’ son Suhang in the election contest.
Suhang won with 27,772 votes. Congress candidate Khadka got 21 thousand 942 votes.
Dakendrasingh Thegim, an independent candidate of the party of identity, got 11 thousand 457 votes and Milan Limbu, who left the Maoist center and became a candidate from the National Independent Party, got 5 thousand 50 votes. Since Limbu of RSVP received less than 10 percent of the total votes, the bail has been forfeited.

CPN-UML candidate Daman Bahadur Bhandari has been elected in the by-election in Bajhang (1) as a member of the Provincial Assembly. Prithvi Bahadur Singh of Congress was elected from Bajhang (1) in the previous election.
A by-election was held in the vacant seat after Prithvi Bahadur, who was also a minister, died in a car accident. Prithvi Bahadur’s son Abhishek Bahadur Singh became the second.
Through the by-election, CPN-UML has managed to add one seat each in the House of Representatives and the Far West Provincial Assembly.
Based on the number of seats, the result of the by-election will not cause any upheaval in the national politics. But President KP Sharma Oli and UML ranks are excited by the message from the by-election.
