The Supreme Court has ruled against Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, who is also the chairman of the National Independent Party. Ravi Lamichhane’s MP position was revoked. The Supreme Court has revoked the post of MP of Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.
During the candidate nomination, Lamichhane renounced the US citizenship of his old citizenship and submitted to the election officer’s office in Chitwan, and the decision to elect him was canceled as there was no process for regaining Nepali citizenship.
Lamichhan, who is also the chairman of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2.
