Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the price of petroleum products. In a statement issued on Monday evening, the corporation reduced the price with effect from 12 midnight on Monday.

According to the new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation today on 31st October, 2023 (14th October, 2080), the price of petrol per liter is Rs. 1.51 per liter increase in diesel price by Rs. 3.63 decreased and L. P. Gas price per cylinder is Rs. 93.60 despite the increase, keeping in mind the interests of the common consumers, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, “Automatic Price System Procedures for Petroleum Substances and Gas, 2080” will remain unchanged as per the decision dated 07/14/2080. 1st November, 2023 (2080/07/15. Effective from 00:01 AM) the previous retail price of diesel/kerosene has been reduced by Rs.4.00 per litre.

This price is applicable in the area up to 15 kilometers from the corporation’s depot. This decision was made on the basis of the new purchase price list received from Indian Oil Corporation Limited on 16 Asar.

According to the corporation, the department has reduced the domestic aviation fuel by 14 rupees per liter and the retail price of international aviation fuel by 115 US dollars per kiloliter.

The price of cooking gas is stable. “Although there is a situation to manage other obligations including the loan and price stabilization fund provided by the government of Nepal, it is informed that the corporation has adjusted this price keeping in mind the interests of the common consumers,” the corporation said in a statement. It has not been revealed how much the fortnightly profit of the corporation will be maintained after this adjustment.
