It started its formal operation on 16th May 2013 after taking license for ‘D’ class microfinance bank from NRB. But the institution take over the MCDC NGO’s microfinance program, assets, liabilities and staffs and continue its program as microfinance institutions from 15th june 2013 formaly.The program coverage 15 permitted( Saptari, Siraha, Udaypur, Khotang, Sunsari, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, Sindhuli, Dhankuta, Ramechhap, Terhthum, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Sarlahi and Mahotari) districts.
MLBSL maintains quality services with its program expansion. There are number of microfinance institutions working in the same area and same methodology of microfinance operation, which has resulted in institutions providing duplicate services to its members. But, we are aware about the client protection, social performance and sustainability issues. It will continue to work in increasing financial inclusion and creating benefits for the clients. It will design/refine its products, services, delivery models and channels that meet clients need and preferences.
