From Kartik Krishna Trayodashi to Kartik Shukla Dwitiya, Yamaraj also suspends his daily work and sits as a guest with his sister the Yamuna and receives Bhaiti, so this festival is called Yamapanchak in the Hindu scriptures.
The name of Tihar festival is derived from the Hindi word festival and became Tihar. It is also known as Diwali (Diwali). Crow, dog, cow, Lakshmi, Govardhan and Bhai are worshiped respectively in Yama Panchak.
