British Gurkha Army Singapore Police- SELECTION PROCEDURES
- Online Registration.
Interested PRs joining the British Army or Singapore Police will have to register online using the link provided on our website www.army.mod.gov.uk/bgn.
Online registration will be open from 01 March and will close on 30 March 2025. Candidates who have registered successfully online will then be called forward for Phase 1 (registration) on a call-forward list published in the 1st week of April 2025. - Phase 1 (registration).
Phase 1 will be held in British Gurkhas Pokhara (BGP) and British Gurkhas Dharan (BGD) between 29 April and 04 July 2025, and in Area Welfare Centre (AWC) Bheri in Surkhet between 29 April and 13 June 2025.

Criteria for Phase 1 Selection (registration). Both British Army & GCSPF applicants must go through the following assessments.
a. Documents. The candidates must bring the following ORIGINAL documents as well as A4 size photocopies of all documents stated below to register. If you do not 175%+ bring the right documents, you will fail. Please visit our website for detail information.

- Machine Readable Passport (MRP) or Electronic Passport
- Parent’s Marriage Certificate if father’s name is not mentioned on mother’s orson’s NPP

Phase 2 (initial selection)
The combined British Army & GCSPF Phase 2 Selection will be held in British Gurkhas Pokhara, The dates for the combined selection will be between 27 Aug-27 Sep 2025. Only successful Candidates will be called forward for the Final Selection. The call forward instructions for the final selection will be published on 07 Oct 2025 for both British Army & GCSPF candidates.
a. The assessments. All physical assessments at Phase 2 are “best effort” this means that the faster you are, or the more heaves you do, the higher your score.
- 800m run: Under 2 minutes and 30 seconds, best effort
- Heaves: Minimum of 14 over arm heaves, best effort
- Repeated Lift & Carry (Short): 20 kg burden carry over 30 meters. 5 laps with & 4 laps without burden in under 1 minute 40 seconds, best effort
b. Medical. Various medical checks will be carried out by trained and qualified British Army medics.
Phase 3 (final selection)
Called forward list for successful candidates at Phase 2
will be published on 7 Oct 2025 at BGN website. The dates for Phase 3 will be GCSPF 28 Nov-10 Dec 2025 and for British Army, 07 Jan-31 Jan 2026.
