Dasharathchand Municipality Announces Public Holiday on Shukla Navami. Baitadi, Nepal — Dasharathchand Municipality of Baitadi district has announced a local public holiday on the occasion of Shukla Navami.
According to the municipality, the decision was made in connection with the annual fair and festival held at the Shree Tripura Sundari Bhagwati Temple, located in Tripura, on the day of Kartik Shukla Navami. This year, the festival falls on Kartik 13, 2082.
On this occasion, all government offices, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions under the jurisdiction of Dasharathchand Municipality will remain closed.
The Tripura Sundari fair, one of the region’s significant religious and cultural events, attracts a large number of devotees and visitors every year. The municipality has stated that the public holiday aims to facilitate participation in the traditional celebration and to preserve local heritage and culture.
