Strategies
(a) Under the objective of contributing to ensuring food security:
To be used during food crises in the country, secure storage in strategic locations and effective stock management, to maintain a buffer stock of essential food items in specified quantities for national food security and SAARC food security.
Strengthening the distribution system for the food security of the country’s food crisis areas and underprivileged people, transporting essential food items to the respective places/areas and selling/distributing/supplying them on time.
(b) Under the objective of playing the role of a market maker so that farmers’ production and indigenous industries get encouragement and consumers can easily and easily get essential goods of competitive price and quality:
To purchase and receive food and other items that should be kept in security storage for food safety, used for price stabilization and required for commercial purposes.
Arrange modern godowns and keep them on rent until the farmer’s products get the expected price and arrange for the company to buy the goods kept in such godowns if the farmers are unable to sell them.
